Regina Hoefter is a Munich-based interior designer featured among Architectural Digest’s Top 100 Interior Designers Germany. Her timeless, minimalist aesthetic required a digital platform that matched the clarity and refinement of her work. Commissioned by the design bureau NotJust*, the static design was transformed into a responsive WordPress website that balances elegance with long-term scalability.

Task — From Flat Design to Fluid Experience

Since a static design doesn’t equal a real-world digital experience my job was to:

Audit the provided design for responsiveness and UX gaps.
Translate static layouts into fluid, scalable digital structures.
Ensure elegance without sacrificing usability on desktop, tablet, and mobile.

Process — Laying the Foundation For Responsiveness and Long-Term Maintainability

I set up the website in WordPress from scratch, using the Enfold theme as a flexible base. The process involved a mix of visual fidelity and technical precision:

Design Audit → Spacing, typography, responsiveness adjustments.
Implementation → Custom CSS, JS, and PHP scripts to expand theme functionality.
Font Integration → Uploaded and embedded custom fonts for brand consistency.
Responsive Scaling → Tailored layouts for tablet and mobile without compromising the minimal aesthetic.
Content Management → Built a backend that makes content updates effortless.
